(1)- PRECOCIOUS -- A seven-year-old boy was stopped by police in northern Germany while trying to plow snow with a front loader he borrowed from his parents' business. The boy had cleared the street in Reinfeld and headed to the parking lot.

(2)- DAMMNED SQUIRRELS -- Grey squirrels are ruining Christmas in New Jersey by eating festive lights. Officials say squirrels are eating lights that decorate downtown Christmas trees and have tried counter measures without much success.

(3)- ONE OR THE OTHER -- Alzheimer's disease is associated with a reduced risk of cancer and vice versa, a study suggests.US researchers followed 3,020 people aged 65 and above for the study, published in the journal Neurology.

(4)- REWARD MONEY -- When Diane Lyons of Carrollton, Ohio, caught her 6-year-old daughter shoplifting a $3.11 pack of tattoo stickers, she did what any mother would do. She called police and then asked for a $30 reward for turning in shoplifters.

(5)- NO PANTHEON FOR CAMUS -- French author Albert Camus was proposed by French President Nicolas Sarkozy for honorary reburial in the Panthéon, the vast monument in Paris which entombs many Gallic heroes, from Voltaire to Pasteur. But no...
