WEB BOHEMIAN (Wednesday, April 7, 2010)
(1)- NAME CHANGE -- A British 19-year-old has officially changed his name to "Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined."

(2)- LOST AND FOUND -- This is fascinating news: 90% of the distant Universe was thought to be missing, but it was recently found. And what’s weird is, it was found to be in the red. Quite literally.

(3)- TAUGHT LESS, LEARNED MORE – Study shows kids who received just one year of arithmetic, in sixth grade, performed at least as well on standard calculations and much better on story problems than kids who had received several years.

(4)- NEW DINOSAUR SPECIES -- A new species of dinosaur has emerged from the rocks of southern Utah. Buried by a collapsing sand dune, perhaps 185 million years ago, the new dino was probably a plant eater.

(5)- NEW DATA -- Women nowadays are more likely to have sex on the first date. But half of them are embarrased to talk about it later. In the study a thousand women between the ages of 20 and 40 were surveyed.

(6)- LITTORINA SAXATILIS -- On the latest evidence, it seems the champion of promiscuity may be the rough periwinkle. She will be fertilised by around 20 males for every clutch she produces. Rough periwinkles are sea snails.

(7)- PRISONER DISCONTENT – A Swedish jail warden says a discontented prisoner received an official warning for flatulence. There were complaints against the inmate, alleging a series of concerted constant wind-breaking attacks.

(8)- SWINE FLU FAMILIARITY -- The swine flu virus may have been new to humanity in many ways but in one key feature its closest relative was the 1918 pandemic virus. This could help explain why the swine flu pandemic largely spared the elderly.

(9)- FUTURE -- In stark contrast to its rapidly aging rivals, America's population is expected to expand dramatically in coming decades. There will be a slowly rising birth rate and continuing in-migration. Population means economic vitality.
