(1)- TAPES FOUND – Ecstatic space officials at Nasa could be about to unveil one of their most stunning discoveries for 40 years — new and amazingly clear footage of the first moon landing.

(2)- WEIRD ARREST -- Boom! Studios reports comics writer Mark Sable was detained by TSA security guards at Los Angeles International Airport this past weekend because he was carrying a script for a new issue of his comic miniseries: Unthinkable.

(3)- OOOOPS! -- A 13-floor residential building under construction in Shanghai collapsed on Saturday, killing one worker and highlighting the dangers of shoddy building in fast-urbanising China.

(4)- DOUBLE WOW! -- An eastern Iowa man has snagged the largest bighead carp ever caught in Iowa, shooting the 79-pound fish with a bow and arrow. The fish was caught by Tracy Seaton of Shellsburg in the Cedar River in Cedar Rapids.

(5)- LUV TWITTER -- When New Hampshire police received a report of someone tossing two bags of trash from a vehicle on Prescott Road Tuesday, they immediately turned to Twitter to try to catch the culprit. It worked.

(6)- GULLIBLE PRESS -- The magazine Paris Match published this week a searing double-page spread on student poverty in France. The black and white photos of students prostituting themselves or looking for food was a hoax.

(7)- FEWER LEFT -- The US is nearly a minority Protestant country; the number of Americans who report that they are members of Protestant denominations is at 51%. The Protestant population is now rent by internal diversity and fragmentation.

(8)- HAPPY AT 28 -- Researchers find women feel most confident and happy with their love life and body shape shortly before they reach 30. It is also when they enjoy the best sex – but the happiness is relatively shortlived.

(9)- ECONOMICS AND SPITE -- Economists, anthropologists and evolutionary biologists have been teasing out how, used judiciously, spiteful behaviour can be one of our best weapons in maintaining a fair and ordered society.
