WEB BOHEMIAN (Monday March 1, 2010)
(1)- QUEEN VICTORIA: TSK, TSK -- A new exhibition is set to challenge the prudish image of Queen Victoria by revealing she had a surprisingly keen interest in the naked body.

(2)- A DARING TALE – A journalist-historian writes a book about what became known as the Berlin airlift because so many Americans today know little or nothing about the seemingly impossible - and highly unlikely - humanitarian mission.

(3)- GENERATION ENDS -- With the death of JD Salinger last week, a remarkable era in US literature came to its end. Mark Lawson reflects in the Guardian UKI on the passing of an unrivaled generation.

(4)- NOMADIC BURIAL GROUND -- The Filippovka burial ground, located in the Orenburg region of Russia, produces a huge royal kurgan yielding burial goods of precious metals, ophisticated Animal Style art, and new information on burial ritual.

(5)- NATURE'S LAWS – Physicists say they had whacked a tiny region of space with enough energy to briefly distort the laws of physics, providing the first laboratory demonstration of a process scientists suspect shaped cosmic history.

(6)- BILLBORD VANDALS -- A billboard in California promoting atheism was vandalized by someone depicting atheists as lost. The billboard -- one of several posted in the Sacramento area -- originally read: "Are you good without God? Millions are."

(7)- JFK LETTERS AUCTION -- A Chicago-area auction house selling 11 love letters that then-Senator John F. Kennedy wrote to one of his lovers. News reports say the bidding started at $25,000 and could go as high as $100,000.

(8)- WALMART AND LOCAL FOOD -- As with most Walmart programs, the clear impetus is to claim a share of consumer spending: first for organics, now for locally grown food. But buying local food is often harder than buying organic.

(9)- WAKING ZOMBIE NATIONS -- While various people and governments point to the USA as the bad actor in this mess of ours, in fact dozens of nations formed this conga line to hell and the rest of the world is far from blameless.
